Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP)

Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP)

The Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) is a new programme within the suite of existing police constable entry routes. This will be available to all forces from April 2024.

For this entry route you will undertake a two-year training programme and, on successful completion of your probation, you will be confirmed in post as a police constable.

Entry Criteria for PCEP

You’ll need an A level (or equivalent) in at least two subjects OR be able to demonstrate relevant experience or training that can be considered equivalent to a Level 3 qualification to apply via either of these entry routes.

Relevant experience and training will be considered on a case-by-case basis – please speak to your chosen force about the experience and training you have. They should be able to confirm if it’s equivalent to a Level 3 qualification.
